About Us

How we came about...

This company formed under a tree, started by university friends Siji and Mihret. The idea began when Siji noted that there needed to be a way to simplify the process of Aso EbI. To get more people involved with the custom and making it affordable. So we’ve created a platform where we offer a variety of fabric for the celebrants to choose and manage with the option, to manufacture designs. We offer traditional styles, as well as modern designs. This is a bold and exciting idea, one which we knew if done right, could change how things are done within our community.

Culture & History...

Aso EbI means ‘Family Uniform’ in Yoruba, one of the languages spoken in Nigeria, Africa.

It is the process in which, when a celebration takes place the Celebrant ‘Event Organiser’ picks a particular fabric of their choice, which is then sold to their guests ‘friends and family’ whom then have the dress patterns of their choosing created. Traditionally ‘Agbada, Dashiki - Men or Buba, Skirt & Gele - Women’
